HAZLET, NJ - On March 7, 2019 Hazlet Police Detectives arrested and charged Oleksandr Stadnytskyy, 26 year old male from Old Bridge with numerous motor vehicle thefts, thefts of property and fraudulent use of stolen credit cards. This arrest is the culmination of an investigation that started in November.
On November 18, 2018 the accused had burglarized multiple vehicles in the Raritan Valley section of town and stole tools, currency, and computer. He then entered a Hyundai Sonata from Galway Drive and drove away with it
January 30, 2019 the accused entered a Nissan Pathfinder and Chevy Silverado on Convent Court and stole currency. He then stole the Pathfinder and drove away with it. Later that day the accused fraudulently used a stolen credit card at Walmart in Kearny NJ.
On February 4, 2019 the accused burglarized an Acura MDX on Kildare Drive stealing a computer and also driving away with that vehicle.
Oleksandr Stadnytskyy was charged with 7 burglary charges, 5 theft charges and 3 motor vehicle thefts. He has been lodged in the Monmouth County Jail. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The Hazlet Police Department has worked diligently during the last few months on catching the person responsible for committing these crimes and victimizing our community. We have utilized all available resources and made this a top priority. We thank all of the victims and witnesses who assisted with information that helped the case.
