RUMSON - On Friday, October 26th, Holy Cross School held its annual Grandparents’ Day celebration. The students, Kindergarten through Grade 8, hosted their loved ones for a fun-filled morning of Mass, friendships, family and fun. The event started at 9:00 a.m. with a school-wide Mass filling every seat in the church. The students then went back to prepare their classrooms, while the grandparents were able to enjoy delicious refreshments including bagels, muffins, croissants, coffees and more.
After the refreshments, the younger classes dazzled their grandparents by singing songs dedicated to them. They were also able to do various activities with them, including story time, poems, interviews, and crafts. Grade 8 students had the chance to introduce their grandparents to virtual reality in the science lab. An added bonus was that many of the students were able to go to the book fair with their grandparents, who were happy to purchase books for their grandchildren.

All the grandparents were impressed by the helpful teachers, friendly students, and cheerful classrooms. Grandmother Dido Krikorian said of the day, “What a wonderful experience I had visiting Holy Cross School and meeting so many nice children and parents.” All in all, it was another successful Grandparents Day.
