ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - The Rev. Paul F. Rack will preach on Palm Sunday about Jesus nearing the fulfillment of the prophecy that he would "die for the people."
The pastor's sermon, entitled "Arrest," is based on John 18:1-14 and will be presented during the 11 a.m. worship service at the 126-year-old church. All members and friends are invited to attend.

"Jesus is betrayed by one of his friends and arrested," Rack reports. "He is in control of the process. He insists his disciples not use violence to save him.

"He is about to fulfill the unwitting prophecy of the high priest that he would die for the people."

The Palm Sunday service will begin outside the church and process into the sanctuary with participants carrying palms, which will be distributed to all who attend.

During Holy Week, the church will conduct its annual Maundy Thursday Candlelight Communion Service at 7 p.m. on March 24, which is open to all. The special service will be held in Fellowship Hall at a long table in recollection pf Jesus' final meal with his disciples.

On Easter Sunday the church will mark the "Resurrection of the Lord" at 11 a.m.
