ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ - Next week, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at Atlantic Highlands Elementary School, the Community Vacation Bible School will be held.  Children ages 3 (potty-trained) to 12 are invited to come.  Registration is $30 per children and it is open to all the children of this community and the surrounding areas. This year’s theme for the Vacation Bible School is Sky – Everything is Possible with God!

Why should children attend this year’s Vacation Bible School?

1.  The materials for the Vacation Bible School are excellent.  As a Christian educator, I find that some of the gifted Christian writers are involved in the production of the Vacation Bible School materials. The publishers have gifted writers and artists and they test these materials years in advance to make sure that they are attractive to the children.

2.  This is a united effort of all the churches in the area.  The Vacation Bible School is exactly what it says – it is a community effort.  It is the effort of the area churches who recruit people to work in crafts, kitchen, drama, games, teaching, leadership, and administration.

3.  Even if your child does not attend a Sunday School class or a religious class during the week or on week-ends, for the sake of your child’s well-rounded education, you should encourage him/her to attend. 15 hours in one week will do marvelous things and expand their minds.

Registration has gone on for a couple of months, but there are still some spots if you show up at Atlantic Highlands Elementary School next Monday, June 25, 2012 at 9:00 AM.
