Bridges reopen in time for Memorial Day weekend
ASBURY PARK, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders will be joined by local officials from four coastal communities at ribbon cutting ceremonies that will mark the reopening of two bridges over Deal Lake on Friday, May 27:
8 a.m. at Main Street Bridge and Crawford Circle Improvements between Allenhurst and Loch Arbor
8:30 a.m. at Sunset Avenue Bridge between Asbury Park and Ocean Township
Due to the extent of deterioration on the previous structures, both bridges have been replaced.
“We are very happy to have both projects meet the target open date of Memorial Day weekend 2016,” said Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the Department of Public Works and Engineering. “Reconnecting these communities with new bridges and an improved roundabout will serve the neighborhoods and communities for a very long time.”
