Middletown, NJ – The Middletown Township Public Library is proud to be a participating site for New Jersey Makers Day on March 23rd, 2019! NJ Makers Day is a statewide event that promotes maker culture and STEAM-based learning and growing local economies. Community members of all ages are invited to join us on 3/23, and all month long for fun-filled activities focusing on maker culture. As always, all programs are free at the library.
This year we have a great lineup of outside presenters throughout the month including demonstrations by: STAR Astronomy, Wild Birds Unlimited, Code Ninjas, Henry Hudson Regional STEM Club, RWJ Wellness on Wheels, Oasis VRX, Snapology, Monmouth County Master Gardeners, Monmouth County 4H Tails and Trails Club, Allied Health Academy, Teen inventor from Holmdel HS, Middletown Recreation, Home Depot and much more! In addition we will have staff led programs for all ages all month long! Please see our calendar @ mtpl.org for further details.
“We are delighted to be able to bring this type of programming to the Middletown community with the help of local sponsors, students, and volunteers,” said Ellie Strbo, Youth Services Manager. “It affords us the opportunity to show that STEAM can be fun and to open young minds to the possibility of career paths (or hobbies) within these fields.” Register today for one of our programs; engage your mind and spark your imagination!
