Anne M. Mikolay joined The Atlantic Highlands Herald as a columnist in 2008. Prior to penning “The Armchair Critic,” Anne wrote feature articles for The Monmouth Journal. Her work has appeared in national and regional magazines, including Catholic Parent and Hopscotch for Girls. A long-time Middletown resident, Anne has a degree in Communications. After a successful career on Wall Street, and a second career as a pre-kindergarten teacher, Anne turned to her first love, creative writing. To date, she has written six fiction books and one children’s book, all available on Amazon.com. When she isn’t writing, Anne can be found caring for her family and her pets, drawing, painting, or needlepointing.
