Attendees at Stephy's Place Gala at Rumson Country Club

On Saturday, April 30, 2022 Stephy’s Place: a support center for grief and loss held a gala at the Rumson Country Club Riverhouse to celebrate the anniversary of the support center. Stephy’s place was founded in 2015 by Sheila Martello-Diorio believing that anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one should not have to navigate the journey alone.

Over 300 guests enjoyed a fun evening of drinks, food, and music by Danny Wertman as well as the Moroccan Sheepherders. The gift auction included items such as a trip to Tuscany, designer handbags and jewelry, autographed celebrity memorabilia, and tickets to sporting events.

For more than 6 years Stephy’s Place (a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization) has provided free support services to anyone surviving grief and loss. Stephy’s place currently offers 52 support groups, a resource center, and mindful meditation to support the more than 500 people who come each week to grieve and mourn. All proceeds from the gala will benefit the Marion Fitzgerald and Kevin Keelen endowment fund, and support the operation of Stephy’s Place for years to come.

Stephy’s place is located at 210 West Front Street, Red Bank. For more information, or to make a tax-deductible donation please visit www.stephysplace.org or call 732-614-1142.
