HIGHLANDS – Henry Hudson Regional, Atlantic Highlands Elementary and Highlands Elementary schools all named their New Jersey Governor’s Teachers and Professionals for the year and each celebrated in their respective schools when the announcements were made. The professionals from the schools are among the educational service professionals on staff at each of the schools.

The honored professionals were nominated by their peers, parents, students, and community members and finally selected by a team of administrators, teachers, parents, the board and community members.

In announcing the honors, Superintendent of schools in the tri-district, Dr. Tara Beams praised each of the choices and noted they and their fellow staff members “are the reason why we are so proud of our exceptional education community.”

Steve Stabile, a PE and Health instructor at Henry Hudson was named the school’s Teacher of the Year, with Amy Marsh, RN, the Professional of the Year for Henry Hudson.

Corrine Merker, first grade teacher at Atlantic Highlands and paraprofessional Robyn Bizzigotti were the choices in Atlantic Highlands, and QUEST Educator Matthew Perkins and Mary Nelson were the teacher and paraprofessional selected at the Highlands elementary school.
