McOmber McOmber & Luber, P.C. is pleased to welcome its new associate, Valerie Mayzelshteyn, Esq., who will litigate employment and civil litigation matters throughout the State of New Jersey.  Ms. Mayzelshteyn will concentrate on representing plaintiffs in employment discrimination, hostile work environment, and sexual harassment cases.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Mayzelshteyn was employed as a law clerk at McOmber McOmber & Luber, where she gained invaluable insight into the world of employment law. After graduating law school, Ms. Mayzelshteyn served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Daniel H. Brown, J.S.C. in the Family Division. In this capacity, Ms. Mayzelshteyn was responsible for managing the family maintenance docket motion cycle. Specifically, Ms. Mayzelshteyn analyzed motions filed by attorneys and pro se litigants and drafted written orders pursuant to the filings that were received. Ms. Mayzelshteyn was in frequent contact with litigants regarding the issues that mattered most to them.

This experience fostered Ms. Mayzelshteyn’s ability to apply her legal knowledge to empathize with and advocate for employees who have been treated unjustly in the workplace. Ms. Mayzelshteyn is passionate about helping those who have been wronged achieve resolutions that improve their situations.

“I am looking forward to joining the team at McOmber McOmber & Luber,” said Ms. Mayzelshteyn. “I am excited to assist the firm in advocating on behalf of their clients. I know that my experiences thus far make me a great fit for taking on this role.”

Ms. Mayzelshteyn received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Rutgers University in 2017. She earned her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2020 and was admitted to practice law in New Jersey in 2021.

Ms. Mayzelshteyn will be working out of the firm’s Red Bank, New Jersey location.
