West Orange, NJ – For the second consecutive year, RWJBarnabas Health has been recognized by Forbes as an America’s Best-In-State Employer. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The annual awards list was announced recently and can currently be viewed on the Forbes website.

Forbes and Statista selected America’s Best-in-State Employers based on an independent survey of approximately 80,000 U.S. employees across 25 industry sectors. The surveys were administered using a series of online panels and provide a representative sample of the U.S. workforce. Direct and indirect employee recommendations were evaluated across the healthcare industry.

The study assessed every aspect of an employee’s experience such as working conditions, salary, potential for growth, and diversity. Out of thousands of eligible companies, only a select few are awarded in each state.

“It’s an incredible accolade to be recognized by Forbes once again and to be named as an America’s Best-In-State Employer 2021,” said Barry H. Ostrowsky, President and Chief Executive Officer of RWJBarnabas Health. “As New Jersey’s largest private employer – with more than 35,000 employees, 9,000 physicians and 1,000 residents and interns, inclusion on the list for the second consecutive year is confirmation of our commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive working environment for all our employees, especially throughout the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. I continue to be proud of and grateful to every employee for their dedication to providing quality, compassionate care, during these difficult times. Through their heroic efforts we continue to advance our mission of addressing both the clinical and social determinants of health to create and sustain healthy communities throughout New Jersey.”
