Letter to the Editor

Within the past 2 months, a special plaque was erected on Bridge A-18, which is on Rte 537 East, in Colts Neck, just west of Rte 34.  It applauds Lillian G. Burry as “A Persistence of Vision”, and addresses her successful career, to date as Mayor and Freeholder from 2001-2020.

Lillian remains a diligent, determined, and successful advocate of historic preservation and for preservation of farm lands for Monmouth County.  If we want to see the kind of open green space and  the treasures from past history that bring joy to our everyday life, we need to support and keep Lillian Burry as our Freeholder.  From that position of vision and decision, she can continue to “do her magic” for us.

If all public officials AND private citizens had the integrity and ethical fiber that reside in Lillian Burry, our Country would be a better place.

Bravo, Lillian Burry.  Please keep up the good work.
