Cursive Writing for Tweens: Thursdays @ 4pm: Instruction for students on how to write and read cursive writing. This course will run 4 consecutive weeks. Registration is required as space is limited.

Dinosaur Bones and Tales presented by Monmouth County Park System, Wednesday, 1/15 @ 10am: Children will learn about animals and plants which lived on the earth millions of years ago by listening to stories and viewing fossils and scale models.  Best suited for children in Grades PreK-K.

Mini-Mause: a German musical Story Time, Friday, 1/17 @ 10:30am:  The German Language School will present a wonderful playful musical introduction to the German language.  Join us with your toddler and explore a free 30 minute Mommy and me program for ages 18 months-4 years old, preschoolers and caregivers. This accredited program supports your child’s language and musical development as well. All are welcome.


Harry Potter & The Sorcerer’s Stone Inter-active Movie, Monday, 1/20 @ 10am: Join us as we watch the original “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” in a brand new way! All registered guests will receive a movie kit with script and props and we will play along as Harry begins his wizarding adventure. Don’t miss this interactive movie party!  Ages 7 and up. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian.

1KB4K/Rubber Duckie Book Club Anniversay/Graduation Celebration, Tuesday, 1/28 @ 3:30pm: Join us as we celebrate with games, a craft, refreshments* & of course, stories! We will also honor our awesome graduates! *Allergy alert


Drop-in Programs

Enjoy some spontaneous fun, get help, practice a skill or make new friends in our drop-in programs throughout the month @ Middletown Township Public Library.  We offer Simply Story Time, Toddler Time, Lapsit Story Time, Kids’ Playgroup, Math Tutoring, Reading Buddies, LEGO’s Building Session, Chess and Table Top Games for Kids.  There’s always an art project to create or a puzzle to be solved in the Discovery Zone.  Visit mtpl.org for a detailed calendar of events.
