ATLANTIC HJIGHLANDS, NJ – The Atlantic Highlands Book Club selected its choices for books to read throughout 2020 at their closing meeting of 2019, and invited all persons interested in reading and discussing books to join the club at its next meeting on January 30, 2020 . The club meets monthly at 7 p.m. in the local branch of the Monmouth Count y Library, located in Borough Hall.
Members also voted and determined that Pearl Buck’s novel, The Good Earth, was their favorite book of 2019, but could not decide that any one book was their least favorite. .
Middlemarch by George Eliot is the book selection for January and is available in the library.
Books selected for reading next year include Lab Girl by Hope Jahren in February, Rules of Civility by Amor Towles in March and The Woman Who Smashed Codes by Jason Fagone in April.
