MIDDLETOWN, NJ – The Middletown High School North and South Bottlecappers are High School Students who are trained to deliver substance abuse prevention lessons to Elementary and Middle School students in the District. The Bottlecappers Program has been delivering prevention education to their younger peers for decades as one of the first Peer to Peer Substance Abuse Education Programs in the State of NJ. On Thursday February 7, 2019 the Bottlecappers will deliver a new lesson to all District Middle School Grade Levels on Vaping Prevention.

In September 2018 the FDA determined teenage vaping to be an epidemic among this age group. In response to this growing problem the Bottlecappers will deliver this lesson developed specifically to inform our middle school students of the dangers of vaping and how to refuse offers to vape.
