Red Bank, NJ – The Community YMCA is pleased to welcome Katie McAdoo as the new executive director of the Red Bank Family YMCA, which serves over 9,000 members in the greater Red Bank area.

McAdoo began her YMCA career 26 years ago as a child care director for the YMCAs of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge and South Amboy. She went on to serve as branch executive, and in her last role as director of association development, she oversaw financial development, marketing and communications. McAdoo also directed the New Jersey Training Partner YMCA program.

“We are thrilled to have Katie as part of the executive team of The Community YMCA. With her Y leadership experience, we expect her to do great things for the Y and are looking forward to working together to increase our impact in the greater Red Bank community,” said Laurie Goganzer, president and chief executive officer of The Community YMCA.

McAdoo is a graduate of Wheelock College, Boston. She and her husband, Jim, moved from Edison to Monmouth Beach this past May, where she enjoys bike riding, cooking and reading. Katie has fond memories growing up at the YMCA in Perth Amboy, where she learned to swim and dive and participated in sewing and chess clubs after school.
