As we approach the political season, voters should be aware of misleading and dishonest polling phone calls.  Just because it is said, doesn’t mean it’s true. Recently there was a telephone poll, asking questions about who you would vote for in the Freeholder election this coming November. I was appalled by the misleading questions presented on that call! One of the questions asked specifically if “Knowing that Sue Kiley used her political influence to get her nephew and her son government jobs and favorable overtime payouts, would that change whether I vote for her.”

I know this family and I know their character. I know that the two family members referred to are police officers who went through a rigorous process to earn the title of Police Officer and I thank them both for their service. They were both hired as officers before Mrs.  Kiley even decided to run for elected office!  Pay attention people. Know the facts about the candidates you choose to vote for, and stay clear of unqualified candidates who smear good candidates to compensate for their lack of competency and experience.   I know Sue Kiley and her running mate Gerry Scharfenberger. They are both smart, ethical, and have proven track records of public service. And they have my vote.
