ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — Pastor Kathy Genus’ sermon title will be “Be at Peace With One Another” when the First Presbyterian Church conducts its worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Navesink Methodist Church.

All area residents are invited to attend the service, the theme of which will be that there is always room for everyone, based on Psalm 19:7-14 and Mark 9:38-50

The featured hymn will be “For Everyone Born.”

The liturgist will be Elder Peter Donoghue.

The Sunday service will be held at the Navesink Methodist Church both on Sept. 30 and Oct. 7 due to repairs underway at the 127-year-old Presbyterian church at Third and East Highland Avenues.

On Sunday,Oct. 14, Methodists and Presbyterians will hold a combined service at the United Methodist Church at Third and Garfield Avenues, here, with the Rev. Jill Hubbard Smith, pastor of both the Atlantic Highlands and Navesink Methodist churches, preaching.

On Sunday, Oct. 21, Presbyterians and Methodists will conduct joint services at the Navesink Methodist Church, while on Oct. 28 Reverend Genus will preach at a joint service at the Methodist church here.
