ah first presbyterian 20180203 400ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — The First Presbyterian Church will focus its thoughts on Labor Day and “resting in God” at its Sunday worship service. 

The scriptures will be Psalm 15 and James 1:17-27 and the Rev. Kathy Genus’ sermon will be entitled “To Be or Not to Be?”

Communion will be celebrated.

Judy Curry Phipps will serve as liturgist.

All members and area residents are invited to Sunday’s service, which will be held at the 127-year-old church at Third and East Highland Avenues.

The church’s final summer service at the Gazebo in the marina be on Sept. 23, followed by the annual church picnic.
