Shrewsbury, NJ – The Community YMCA invites all to enjoy a night of inspiration at its annual gala on Friday, Sept. 28, at the Ocean Place Resort & Spa, 1 Ocean Blvd., in Long Branch.

Proceeds from the gala will support the Y’s mission to ensure that children, teens and adults in need have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive through Y programs such as preschool, before and after school care, wellness and prevention, therapeutic counseling, college-readiness and summer camp.

Christopher Maher, Chairman, President & CEO of Ocean First Bank, will be presented with the Distinguished Citizen Service Award for his outstanding community service and New Jersey Natural Gas will receive the Community Partner Award for its long-time support of the Y.

The Infernos Band will provide the musical entertainment. The band has performed for President Barack Obama, New Jersey governors and for audiences across New Jersey and around the world and have shared the stage with some of the biggest musical talents including Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett, and Barry Manilow, and the legendary Chicago band.
