ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — The First Presbyterian Church will be continue focusing on favorite hymns during its 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.
Pastor Kathy Genus will officiated during the second week of the church’s “Theology of Music Series,” this week featuring “Standing on the Promises,” “He Leadeth Me,” ‘Bleast Be the Tie that Binds” and “My Faith Looks Up to Thee.”
“The sermon will focus on the idea that that Christ is the center of our faith and the head of the church,” Genus says. “We must strive to follow Christ in all areas of our personal living as well as a church community.”
The church will have a short hymns-sing prior to the beginning of worship, giving attendees a chance to be sure to hit all their favorites through the rest of the summer.
Genus’ sermon will be “Wherever We Go,” based on Corinthians 12:12-13, 18-21 and 22-18, “We Are One Body” and Ephesians 2:11.; 13, 16-22.
