COLTS NECK, NJ – A person has barricaded themself inside a private home in the vicinity of County Route 537 and Laird Road in the Scobyville section of Colts Neck. 

Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Pubic Information Officer, Chris Swendeman said, “Dorbrook Park is in the vicinity of the home and has been closed off to the public for safety concerns.”

Dorbrook Recreation Area Sprayground posted the following to their facebook page:

“Due to police activity on an adjacent property, Dorbrook Recreation Area is closed until further notice. All programs and camps at this location are cancelled at least through 4 p.m. today.”

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, no contact has yet been made with the subject. “We don’t know the state of the person at this time,” Swendeman said.
