More than three and a half tons of food representing more than 5800 meals, was collected during the Monmouth County Library’s month long food drive to aid the Monmouth and Ocean Food Bank. Canned vegetables, soups and paper products were the primary donations from library users who could make donations throughout April but could also be excused for overdue fines during National Library Week at the beginning of the month.
