LITTLE SILVER, NJ – Red Bank Regional (RBR) seniors in the Academy of Visual & Performing Arts (VPA) Commercial Photography program will be presenting their work in a final group exhibit at Surf Taco in Belmar Belmar from May 11 through May 31.. The restaurant is located at 1003 Main Street. Seniors include: McKenna Matthews, Bradley Beach; Shannon Studer, Deal; McKayla Prestininzi, Shrewsbury; Bridget Kelly; Little Silver, Sarah Curtis; Little Silver and Cece McCarthy, Red Bank.


The students have been involved in the specialized program as photography majors throughout all of their high school careers learning new techniques and growing as artists. Each student will be displaying 10 works of art that are true to their individual style. Working with both film, digital, and alternative process photography, the students are about to complete the rigorous program that involved four years of intense studio training.

rbr photo wonder barLeft is an example of some of the work that the RBR Senior VPA art majors will be displaying at their senior photo show to be held in Belmar at Surf Taco.  This piece is entitled “Wonder Bar” by Shannon Studer.

Exhibit goers can expect to see strong vivid color, shape and form; along with experimental processes that push their creativity. Much of the artwork includes local attractions. Free refreshments will be provided to those who attend the reception which will be held on Friday, May 11, from 5-7 pm. The students’ work will be on display throughout the month of May.
