The Rev. Kathy Genus, the church’s new pastor, will conduct a service featuring a sermon entitled “Surprise” and special children’s message as well as a children’s egg hunt at the church at Third and East Highland avenues.

On the following Sunday, April 8, the church will conduct a special “Holy Humor Service” which, according to Genus, will be filled with joy, laughter and smiles to recognize that the Resurrection is not a one-time event “but an opportunity for the ever-recreation God to renew us each and every day.”

Attendees are asked to wear bright colors as a symbol of joy. The April 8 sermon will be called “Giggling with God.”
