MILLSTONE – Stars from the nationally recognized appraisal tv show Trinkets or Treasure will be at the Millstone Primary School, Schoolhouse Rd. Saturday, March 3, to appraise items for residents.

Sponsored by the Friends of Millstone Township’s Historic Registered Properties, appraisers in the fields of fine and contemporary art, Antique American and European furniture, cons, collectibles, military items, decorative arts, and jewelry will be at the School from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accept items or descriptions to appraise. Fees are $10 per item with a limit of two items per person for the appraisals. A food truck will also be on site.   Included among the appraisers who will be attending are Lauren Bradley, Sebastian Clarke, Chris Wise, Gina Tomasello, Sarah Churgin and Katherine Van Dell.

The Friends group received a $3,000 grant from the Monmouth County Historical Commission Monday night to support utility costs for the Baird Homestead, 24 Baird Rd., a Greek Revival farmhouse built in the early 19th century on a 500-grain farm, which also included extensive orchards, and both fruit and ornamental trees.   The house is the site for several activities during the year and is on the annual Weekend in Old Monmouth tour set for May 5 and 6 this year.
