ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS – The Rev. Kathy Genus will officiate at the 4 p.m. Christmas Eve Sunday worship service at the First Presbyterian Church.
During the service, she will wrap up her four-part Advent sermon series, entitled “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?”
All area residents are invited to attend the service in the festively decorated 127-year-old church at Third and East Highland avenues.
The Christmas eve service will be one of lessons and carols and will include two short homilies, one on Luke 2:1-7, entitled “An unrecognized gift, focusing on the birth of Jesus.”
The second will be Luke 2:8-20, focusing in the mad dash of the shepherd, particularly on the ones who saw the star.
