st agnes church 2009ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – St. Agnes Catholic Church will hold its 23rd Annual Christmas Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17.

The program, under the direction of G. Thomas Elliott of Navesink, will feature the St. Agnes adult and parish youth choirs and the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Choir. Elliott is the retired musical director at Henry Hudson Regional School, Highlands, while the OLPH choir is directed by Courtney Grogan.

The singers will be accompanied by St. Agnes church organist Patrick Phillips, a Rutgers University student.

Among other offerings, the combined parish choirs will sing traditional songs of the season including the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah.”

Admission is free to the church located, at 101 Center Ave. at Avenue C, but attendees are asked to bring donations for the community food pantry, a tradition for over 20 years.
