ah first presbyterian churchATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — The Rev. Barbara Hicks will be the guest preacher at the 10 a.m. worship service tomorrow, Sunday, Nov. 5, at the First Presbyterian Church.

All area residents are invited to attend the service at the 127-year-old First Presbyterian Church at Third and East Highland avenues.

Hicks has been in the ministry for 32 years, serving congregations in Ewing Township, Atlanta, Stone Mountain (Georgia), Toms River and Lakewood, where she is pastor emerita of Hope Presbyterian Church, having served there as pastor for 17 1/2 years before her retirement in 2016.

The minister, who lives in Toms River, was raised in suburban Philadelphia, received her bachelors degree from Temple and her masters in divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.
