padre pio statueATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – Father Fernando Lopez and Long Island resident  Vito Faraci participated in the blessing and dedication  of a statue of Padre Pio to Our Lady of Perpetual Help -St. Agnes Parish in a brief ceremony Saturday morning. Feraci, a frequent visitor to St. Agnes Church, donated the statue to create an outdoor shrine to the Italian saint who died in 1928 and has been recognized for miraculous deeds brought about by prayers and intercessions.

This is the fourth statue, and the first to a New Jersey parish, that Faraci had donated to promote further recognition of the 20th century saint.
