Teen Summer Reading Program (sign up now and begin logging books on June 26th)We challenge you to read 5 books this summer. For each book you read you will earn a prize. When you read 5 books you will get a free book and a raffle ticket for a chance to win our grand prize!

Teen Yoga (6th-12th grade) – Thursdays at 3:30PM (no class on July 13th) – Build a Better You and take our free Teen Yoga Classes with certified instructor Alice Balzarini. The class will run every Thursday from July 6th-August 31st. Just bring a yoga mat and a water bottle. Dress in comfortable clothes for yoga.

Coding with Google CS First Club – Tuesdays and Fridays 6/27 – 7/21 at 3:00PMLearn to code with the Google CS First Club. Club members will teach you how to code with a block based programming language using Scratch. This is an 8 session workshop for teens going into grades 6-8. We will meet in the Computer Lab Tuesdays and Fridays at 3pm from 6/27 through 7/21.Please bring your own earphones. *No meeting on July 4th

Teen Scenes with Youth Stages (6th – 8th grade) – Wednesday, July 12 at 5:00PM – Participants will work on scripted two-person and small group scenes- making character choices vocally and physically, devising blocking, rehearsing, and sharing these scenes with one another. This program will be conducted by Jean Prall Rosolino of the Youth Stages Theatre Company. *A separate session for teens in grades 9-12 will be held at 6:30PM the same day.

Practice SAT (11th and 12th grade) – Saturday, July 15 at 9:30AM – The Princeton Review will be conducting a Practice SAT exam for free. The Princeton Review will grade it and give you feedback on how to improve your score.

Teens’ Top Ten Reading Committee – Wednesday, July 19 at 7:30PM – This program is for teen volunteers, ages 14+. Join our TTT Reading Committee. Each month, members will discuss a teen book they read, write a book review to add to our book review blog, and discuss which books (if any) they will choose to nominate for the Teens’ Top Ten Book Awards (a yearly award given nationally to the 10 best teen books of the year, which are nominated and voted for by teens).

TinkerCad 3D Design Workshop – Tuesdays and Fridays from July 25 to August 18 – Learn how to design your own 3D object using TinkerCad. By the end of the 8 class workshop, you will have created your own design for the 3D printer. Submit your designs at the end of the last class, and the library will create your design using our 3D printer! For teens and tweens ages 11-15.
