HOLMDEL, NJ – Holmdel Police Officers Michael Michalski and Anthony Tillman are participating in the 2017 Police Unity Tour, which kicked-off from the Mercer County Police Academy at 7 AM, Tuesday, May 9th. The four-day ride will bring them to their destination in Washington, D.C.

The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum.

The Ride was first organized In May 1997, by Officer Patrick P. Montuore of the Florham Park Police Department, with the hope of bringing public awareness of Police Officers who have died in the line of duty and to honor their sacrifices. 18 riders participated.

Last year, the Tour raised $2,500,000 with 2,200 members.
