lost amusement parksMIDDLETOWN, NJ – The Middletown Township Historical Society Monday April 17 meeting will feature Rick Geffken speaking on the new book he co-authored with George Severini “Lost Amusement Parks of the North Jersey Shore,” a nostalgic trip in print of the former places of summer fun that so many remember from our youth. All of the familiar places are included while  the reader and listener will learn about some obscure parks that are only distant memories. The book and program will enchant anyone who has visited an amusement park or who has dreamed of same. Books will be available for purchase and autographing.

The site is the Nature Center at Poricy Park, 345 Oak Hill Road, Middletown (Red Bank on GPS), located on the southern border of the New Jersey Transit tracks. Visitors are welcome at the 7PM start and refreshments are served.
