LINCROFT, NJ (March 27, 2017) – David J. Peterson, master language creator for the HBO series “Game of Thrones” and Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World,” will host a free presentation on the art of invented languages at 7 p.m. on April 6 at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft.
Peterson, who has also created languages for Syfy’s “Defiance” and authored the book “The Art of Language Invention,” will provide an overview of the history of language invention, from the works of J.R.R. Tolkien to Star Trek and beyond.
He will also describe his own work for contemporary shows and movies, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the growing art of language invention.
