RUMSON, NJ –  The Rumson St. Patrick’s Parade Committee is a proud to support the Oceanic Free Library’s (OFL) Traditional Irish Soda Bread Baking Contest. The contest will take place on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 7:00 PM. There is a $25 entry fee and you can pick up the entry form at the library located at 109 Avenue of the Two Rivers and Ridge Road in Rumson, NJ.

The Daly Irish dancers from the Jig Factory will be performing along with Bagpiper Arche Laird from Atlantic Watch Pipes & Drums. There will be plenty of snacks and refreshments at this family fun event. There will also be authentic merchandise available for purchase to celebrate your Irish heritage.

Denise Kellerher, owner of Cups and Cakes will be among the judges for this competition. Kevin Feehan, Manager of Val’s Tavern will demonstrate “How to make the perfect Irish Hot Toddy”. “We look forward to this annual competition and each year its more exciting than the last, said Dennis Devine”, President of the Rumson St. Patrick’s Parade Committee.

The Rumson Parade Committee is a 501C-3 Not for Profit organization that promotes the Irish and Irish American Heritage with an annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Rumson, NJ. The Parade Committee is made up of volunteers who raises money throughout the year by running events and through various fundraising endeavors. The Committee is proud to have this year mark the fifth year of producing the Parade as well as donating resources and financial support to the two Charity recipients for 2017 Where Angels Play Foundation and Horizons.
