MIDDLETOWN, NJ – On December 3, 2016 at 7:01 p.m. the Middletown Twp. Police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The crash happened on Bray Avenue in the area of Central Avenue in the Port Monmouth section of the township.
A female pedestrian, whose name is not being released at this time, was struck by a motorist that was traveling on Bray Avenue. The pedestrian sustained multiple fractures and was treated on scene by the Middletown Twp. First Aid Squad. She was subsequently flown by New Jersey State Police helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The injuries are not considered life threatening.
The motorist remained on scene and has been cooperating with the police investigation. The motorist is not being identified at this time. The crash is still under investigation and is being handled by Corporal Thomas Russo of the Traffic Safety Unit. Anyone with information is asked to call (732) 615-2100.
