ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — Pastor Paul F. Rack will be speaking Sunday on what he witnessed during the recent Sioux Indian protest against a proposed crude oil access pipeline in South Dakota.
All members and friends of the First Presbyterian Church, as well as all area residents, are encoraged to attend Sunday’s 11 a.m. service.
“I will be reflecting on what I witnessed in terms of water rights, indigenous peoples, abuse of power, creation care and what it means for Christian discipleship,” Reverend Rack said of his role during his recent trip with a group of ministers to Standing Rock, SD.
The pastor’s sermon, entitled “Standing Rock,” will be presented at the 126-year-old church at Third and East Highland avenues.
