navesink spoken wordThe Navesink Arts Center, home of the Monmouth Players theatrical company which is entering their 63rd season of providing high quality community theater to the eastern Monmouth County for past six decades, announces a new single night event for this coming October.

As part of their evolving programs for the Navesink Arts Center, they will be presenting an “Evening of the Spoken Word” performance.   The program; themed as “Verses in Autumn” will feature members from the greater Shore community to share their passion for spoken word literature.  The readings are varied works of poetry, essays and short stories with a focus on the theme of Autumn as well as other entertaining works of literature.

The “Evening of the Spoken Word” will conduct their performance on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 8:00 pm at the Navesink Arts Center in Middletown; located at 149 Monmouth Avenue.

There will be a variety of small plate refreshments of crackers, fruit and cheese that will be paired with appropriate beverages for patrons of this celebration of literature event. Coffee and tea will be available as well for guests of this event.

We will cooperate with students and educators who attend for curricula credit for attendance.  One of our producers will sign any affidavits for consideration.
