RED BANK, NJ – As leaves turn to new colors, the Art Alliance will be changing its windows and gallery show for October.

Colorful, lyrical abstract paintings by Leona Tenebruso-Shultes will be showcased. Inside the gallery, the walls will be hung with members’ works selected by the featured artist, who will award $100 for the best work in the show.

Leona Tenebruso-Shultes, a native of New York and a media professional, has lived in Monmouth County for over 20 years. Her work is inspired by the rhythms and energies of both the city and the countryside. An award-winning painter, her abstract work conveys depth and movement, with fresh, sophisticated color. She says, “I create the kind of paintings I like to live with, focusing mostly on color, texture and line work to express mood and emotion.”  The artist’s paintings are in private and corporate collections. A gallery of her works and more information is available at www.leonatenebruso-shultes.com.

The show opens on Saturday, October 1 with a reception from 6-8 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and the public is invited to attend. The exhibition continues through October 27, and can be viewed during gallery hours, Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m.
