About the Photographer

Loving, chasing, and exploiting the light, photographer Sori Gottdenker hopes and literally dreams of capturing what she sees in her mind’s eye and finds in her heart. She is primarily interested in shallow depth of field macro photography and lost edges.

We treat each of our patients as part of the family at Atlantic Highlands Animal Hospital. We offer top-quality surgical and dental treatments for cats and dogs. For the best pet care in the Atlantic Highlands, NJ, call us at (732) 291-4400.

Born and raised in N.J., she has a metropolitan spirit that has gone somewhat ethereally rogue. For most of her life, Sori has been a student of many art forms – some of which include painting, drawing, stained glass, poetry, and classical ballet. Her photography has been influenced greatly by all these other disciplines.

Sori has previously shown her work at the BAC Boatworks Gallery where she has received quite a few awards for photographs from her Naked Truths Series, Macro Project, and Long Light Series. She has also shown her work with other Visions Photographic Workshops artists at Heaven Art Gallery in Asbury Park.

When not clicking the shutter or processing her photos in a Lightroom, Sori spends her time in the kitchen with her rescued puppies or teaching at the famous Academy of Dance Arts in Red Bank, N.J., where she tries to hammer as much classical ballet technique into as many beautiful and talented children as she can find.

“These are the passions that consume and run wildly through my life,” she muses.
