According to Ms. Melissa Whelan, former principal “The event is designed to bring all members of the community together for one last goodbye. We have a fantastic community that has been there for one another over the last ten years. There is much to celebrate as a community and the picnic will give us the opportunity to do that.  I was thrilled when Mr. Thomas Sorci asked me to be involved in this.”

The day will include activities for the students such as a bounce house and water slide.  Alumni will have the opportunity to participate in House Competitions such as a volleyball tournament.  The House Competitions are a reminder to the student’s middle school days when they competed in different houses for a trophy each year.  Students from the classes of 2012 and 2015 were on hand at the planning meeting and were thrilled to bring back the competitions. “I loved house competitions and it’s been a long time coming for everyone to be back together as a community. I cannot wait to reunite with the MTRS family,” said Sydney Rosa, 2012 graduate.

Alumni are encouraged to follow the school’s Instagram, MTRSHAWKS, for a daily dose of throwback photos.  To RSVP for the event visit the school web page
