pow mia flagMIDDLETOWN, NJ – The Middletown Veterans Affairs Committee will host a flag raising ceremony on the front lawn of Middletown Town Hall on Saturday, April 2nd at 9:30 am in honor of military personnel taken as prisoners of war or listed as missing in action from all wars. Members of the community are invited to recognize and remember veterans who did not come home.

The POW/MIA flag will be raised and permanently housed underneath the American flag at Middletown Town Hall, located at 1 Kings Highway. Mayor Gerry Scharfenberger, Ph.D., members of the Veterans Affairs Committee and a Naval Weapons Station Earle Honor Guard will participate in the ceremony.
