ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — The Rev. Paul F. Rack will preach Sunday on the joy of resurrection at the First Presbyterian Church.

His sermon, entitled “Joy,” will be presented during the 11 a.m. worship service.

“Jesus uses the analogy of childbirth to talk about how the pain of his departure — he will be crucified the next day — will be overwhelmed by the joy his disciples will know at his resurrection,” according to the pastor.

“His resurrection conquers the world of violence and fear. So the difficulties they have to endure, which will be significant, will not be enough to separate them from God’s love and eternal life.”

All  area residents are invited to Sunday’s worship service while all young people are urged to attend our Sunday School, both beginning at 11 a.m.
