Seeks new members

MATAWAN, NJ – The Arcadian Chorale, an ensemble dedicated to excellence in choral singing, will begin its new Spring season with rehearsals every Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan, Route 34 at Franklin Street.

People who like to sing and are interested in becoming new members are invited to attend open rehearsals on Jan. 26, Feb. 2, and Feb. 9. Membership in the group is free.

The 60-voice ensemble is a community-based group of singers from the greater Monmouth county area. Under Marina Alexander, the group’s Musical Director, the Chorale has made numerous appearances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and other area venues. The ensemble is a member of the Monmouth County Arts Council and the NJ Choral Consortium.

The Chorale is known for its musical quality and innovative programming, For
Spring 2016, it will offer “L’Chaim, to Life!”, a gala program celebrating Jewish music and culture, to be performed at several area synagogues in April and May.
