NaNoWriMo Thursdays in November @ 4pm (For Tweens, ages 9-12)

Write, share, and help each other to improve and enjoy writing. Take the National Novel Writing Month Challenge this year and try to write an entire novel in one month!!!

Winter Homes for Birds Tues, 11/3 @ 3pm (for Grades K-5)

Joanne Mutschinski of Wild Birds Unlimited is back again to talk about winter homes for birds and other topics. At our Wonder Window, come see the birds eating, check out nature with our binoculars and make a weather prediction in our wonder journal. All are welcome.

Flow Circus Thurs, 11/5 @ 3pm (for all ages)

A Juggler’s Tale: Performer Paul Miller tells the story of one fateful summer when he first learns about physics. In this seemingly magical world where everything falls, balances, and spins, he defies gravity and discovers new skills. His journey begins with a single question that ultimately gets answered at the library.

4-H Raging Reptiles Sat, 11/7 @ 10:30 am (for all ages)

Members of the 4-H Raging Reptiles will be bringing their small reptiles to show and talk about them. There will be opportunities for the audience to interact with the reptiles. No registration required. All are welcome.

Celebrating Diwali – the Festival of Lights Sun, 11/8 @ 3pm (for all ages)

Diwali, an ancient Hindu festival celebrated in autumn every year, is the biggest, brightest festival in India. Join us for this family program which will include stories, music, dance and traditions. Join us for a cultural experience of a lifetime!

Black Friday Alternative Event: Elves and Crafts Fri, 11/27 @ 2PM

All are welcome to this family event. We’ll be showing the movie “Elf” on the big screen, making some related crafts, and eating one of the “four elf food groups” (candy canes).

Skype Visit with Chris Grabenstein – Author of Mr. Lemoncello’s Library Mon, 11/30 @ 4pm

Tweens and teens are invited to join us. If you haven’t already read the book, read it because Mr. Grabenstein will offer a clue to the scavenger hunt we’ll be doing based on the book! Please register!
