The Middletown Township Historical Society will feature at its October 19 meeting Joseph Hammond, Curator of Collections at the Monmouth County Historical Association, with a powerpoint presentation on “The Hartshorne Family Papers.”

The extensively illustrated talk will include maps, paintings, photographs and documents on one of Middletown and  Monmouth County’s earliest and most important families and cover a collection of extraordinary depth and significance. He will explore in a both  thorough and entertaining manner a magnificent holding of the Association, one assembled largely through gifts of the family. The site is the Poricy Park Nature Center, 345 Oak Hill Road, Middletown and time is 7:00PM.

Visitors are welcome and refreshments are served.
