Every year the Holmdel First Aid Squad “Explorers” hold a Halloween themed event open to all children from Holmdel Township and surrounding towns.

We are holding our annual “Rig-Or-Treat” Halloween event at the Holmdel First Aid Squad building located on Crawfords Corner Rd. on Halloween Day, October 31st from 1pm-5pm. This is always a free event. Perfect accompaniment to a day of Trick or Treating in the evening. Children of all ages are invited to come do activities & crafts with Holmdel First Aid Squad Explorers. Every year our building is transformed into a Halloween theme activity center, complete with about a dozen tables in which children can take part in activities and crafts. In addition to the inside activities we will be holding a blood drive on location during the event. Community magazine has already agreed to spread the word, and News 12 did an onsite report on last years’ event.

The Holmdel First Aid Explorer Program provides 30 carefully selected high school students with the opportunity to give back to their community by allowing them to aid township residents during any situation in the township that requires emergency medical services. The ultimate goal is to provide a growing and learning experience for high school students in the fields of emergency medicine, emergency services and personnel management. It allows the children & parents to learn a little about first aid, raise awareness what we do, and teach children the importance of EMS personnel through interaction.
