ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ – Councilman Robert Sutton, whose term expires Dec. 31, withdrew his name as a Democrat candidate for re-election in November, Borough Administrator Adam Hubeny confirmed today.

Sutton withdrew for personal reasons, and the Democrat party now has until Sept. 10 to select a replacement.

Neither his running mate Roy DeLosso nor Democrat Chairman and Mayoral candidate Rhonda (Randi) Legrice was available for comment.

Sutton first served on the Council in the 1980s, and then again in 2007. He has been serving since then.
