RED BANK, NJ – In September, the windows of the Art Alliance of Monmouth Gallery, 33 Monmouth St., Red Bank, will feature the work of Jersey Shore native, Dawn DiCicco. Inside the gallery, members will show work created over the past year in an exhibition entitled “This Just In.”
The exhibition will run from Sept. 11 through Sept. 29, 2015. An opening reception on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 6-8pm is open to the public. At the reception, attendees will have the chance to make a donation for any one of the remaining “empty bowls” from this summer’s Empty Bowls event.
Dawn DiCicco, who was academically trained as a painter and graphic designer, now paints in the Lyrical Abstract Expressionist style. She is strongly influence by music, saying, “Music plays an influential role in my lyrical abstract paintings. The rhythm and beat guide me as I lay on texture and depth and color and shape.”
