MIDDLETOWN, NJ – A Hubbard’s Bridge detour will begin Wednesday 8/12 at 6am and will continue for up to 3 weeks.  The intersection and utility work along with final paving will require a full closure of the affected roadways 24 hours a day for that period.

West Front Street will be closed from Bridge Avenue to Applegate Street in River Plaza.  Additionally, Shrewsbury Avenue/Rector Place will be closed from State Highway 35 to Monmouth Street.  Traffic will be detoured using State Highway 35, Navesink River Road, Hubbard Avenue, Carpenter Street and Applegate Street.  Bridge Avenue will be utilized to re-route north/south traffic from Shrewsbury Avenue/Rector Place.

Motorists are urged to use an alternate route if possible.  Delays should be anticipated throughout the area during this project.
